Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct surveys and interviews with enterprises to assess their awareness and utilization of green finance options.
∎ Participate in training sessions to become familiar with the survey instrument and data collection techniques.
∎ Analyze financial barriers and challenges faced by enterprises in adopting green practices.
∎ Travel to designated areas to establish relationships with individuals and communities to identify potential research participants.
∎ Ensure all necessary survey materials (questionnaires, consent forms, and equipment etc.) are prepared and ready for fieldwork.
∎ Conduct structured interviews and surveys with SMEs in the field using data collection applications such as Survey CTO, KOBO Toolbox, etc.
∎ Communicate effectively with the participants to clarify questions, assist, and maintain a positive interaction.
∎ Implement quality control measures to minimize errors, ensure data accuracy, and communicate any inconsistencies or issues encountered during data collection to the supervisor.
∎ Submit collected data and collaborate with the data management team to manage transcription and translation of qualitative data.
∎ Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of collected data and maintain a high level of professionalism during interactions with survey participants.
∎ DURATION: Contractual (1-2 Months).
∎ JOB CONTEXT
∎ Applications are invited from professionals willing to conduct field data collection for the baseline survey of the “Access to Green Financing for Enterprises” programme supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh and implemented by iMPACT Booster Holding B.V. in partnership with Truvalu and One to Watch.
∎ “Access to Green Financing for Enterprises” is a multi-year programme that aims to facilitate capacity development, technical assistance, and access to green financing for SMEs across all sectors in Bangladesh. The programme will actively engage with SMEs, financial institutions (FIs), impact investors (IIs), and policymakers to facilitate access to green financing for SMEs, aiding them in both adapting to and mitigating the risks associated with climate change. The programme is expected to generate a positive impact by empowering marginalized communities and SMEs in Bangladesh, fostering climate resilience and developing low-carbon solutions.

∎ JOB OBJECTIVES
∎ The candidate will collect, document, and analyze data. (S)He will be responsible for conducting surveys, interviews, and assessments to gather comprehensive information on the financial landscape for green enterprises, identifying challenges, opportunities, and areas for improvement. The objective is to contribute to evidence-based decision-making, policy formulation, and the enhancement of financial inclusivity for enterprises committed to sustainable practices.
