Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Architecture

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Architecture Firm, Engineering Firms

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop suitable CFS and WGSS designs for the project and supervise construction of these structures of the approved designs in the camp
∎ Ensure that basic technical criteria of land availability/property, accessibility, security, topography, water resources, absorption capacity, and adequate terrain for proper sanitation facilities are taken into consideration before construction of the CFS and WGSS
∎ Assist the Project Manager in developing beneficiary selection criteria and Standard Operating Procedures.
∎ In collaboration with Project Manager, develop of technical aspects of Tender Documentation for project. Participate in tender openings and review of supplier samples with Logistics.
∎ Develop Scope of Work formats and requirements.
∎ In collaboration with PM and other concerned personnel to develop minimum technical standards for construction/upgrades/rehabilitation and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with allocated budget.
∎ Review and evaluate construction work, and ensure priority is given to local population and usage of local materials, taking protection of the environment into account.
∎ Deliver finalized CFS and WGSS and consolidated reports on construction related activities in already established sites and new sites
∎ Comply with Bangladesh law and follow all ADRA Bangladesh and ADRA Canada procedures, compliance and documentation requirements
∎ Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to uphold ADRA's standards and to not jeopardize ADRA's mission.
∎ Be adaptable and flexible to take new tasks and new assignments within the scope of the project activities as requested from time to time.
∎ Represent ADRA with networking and participation in various Government, Donor and NGO forums.
∎ Perform other duties as assigned by the Project manager and any other concerned personnel.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Knowledge and experience in using AUTOCAD software
∎ Strong experience in planning, design, coordination and implementation of emergency shelter projects in both the camp and non-camp setting in Cox's Bazar.
∎ Proven skills and experience in supervising, monitoring and documenting construction project
∎ Strong experience in managing and monitoring construction activities/contractors.
∎ Experience in leading teams in the organization and management of distribution activities
∎ Experience in field level coordination with community stakeholders, local and international NGO's, and local government officials.
∎ Knowledge of the context in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar specifically regarding Shelter/CFS needs of conflict affected persons.
∎ Commitment to ADRA's mission, beliefs and core values.
∎ Fluency in Bangla and local language
∎ Finance and Budget management skills.
∎ Able to undertake travel as required.
∎ Commissioner/Chairman Certificates
