Job Context:
∎ Inclusive livelihood opportunity for Covid-19 affected households in three districts of Bangladesh” is a one-year project under Muslim Aid-UK, Bangladesh field Office (MABFO). This project aims to strengthen market-driven skills training for improved employability and economic regeneration for 1,510 community members particularly for the young, women and disadvantage people following the COVID-19 pandemic.
∎ The Employment officer is required to actively search for the potential employers and establish a rapport with them so that students who completed courses from skill development programmes would likely to have a employment opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in the development of participants through work placements and providing support tailored to their needs.
∎ Look for job opportunities for graduated trainees and create industry linkage,
∎ Guide the trainees in writing resume, understand their interest and requirement before seeking a job for him/her and others.
∎ Suggest market driven training courses to the trainees for better job prospects.
∎ Assist the trainees with CV preparation, vocational profiling, mentoring, and interview preparation, towards securing paid employment.
∎ Provide career counselling to the trainees,
∎ Keep in touch with clients from different organizations in order to stay updated with the new job vacancies that come up.
∎ Support to organize different events at training center level such as Job fair, skills development training and others as and when required
∎ Prepare work plans schedules and reports for assigned activities.
∎ Any other official related tasks may assign to him/her.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years’ experience as Job Placement Officer especially in skills development programme
∎ Adaptable and able to work under pressure in a demanding and fast-moving environment;
∎ Have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
∎ Sound knowledge on market survey and business development
Salary: Tk. 22000 - 25000 (Monthly)
