Responsibilities & Context:
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and supervise electrical systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects.
Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, load calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications in coordination with architects and other engineering teams.
Supervise installation of power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, generators, substations, and low-voltage systems (CCTV, fire alarm, access control, BMS).
Ensure all electrical works comply with BNBC, local authority regulations, safety codes, and company standards.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and utility service providers (DESCO/DPDC/REB, etc.) for power connections and approvals.
Monitor project progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to approved drawings and timelines.
Conduct site inspections, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Prepare and review work schedules, method statements, and shop drawings submitted by contractors.
Control material usage, verify electrical materials, and certify contractor bills as per work progress.
Identify electrical risks and ensure implementation of workplace electrical safety practices.
Support energy-efficient design solutions and recommend cost-effective electrical systems.
Maintain proper documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and handover manuals.
Provide technical support during defect liability period and assist in maintenance planning after project handover.
