Job Context:
∎ Contract Duration: Initially for 30/06/2024 with possibility of further extension depending on the performance and funding availability.
∎ Location: Anywhere in Cox`s Bazar district
∎ Background: Prottyashi is implementing the Education Cannot Wait (ECW)- Bangladesh project with the support of the International Rescue Committee - IRC for both the Host and Rohingya communities in Bangladesh. The project is going to support children aged 3 - 18 years to ensure access and quality support of educational activities in the mentioned community along with other focuses like inclusion, children with disabilities, and gender.
∎ Purpose of Position: The position will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and support at the field level with the community members, facilitators, and children along with relevant govt. officials. He/she will also be responsible for quality assurance of the teaching-learning activity through gathering firsthand information and sharing it with the technical officers for further use. This position will also involve frequent travel to project sites, and close coordination with field facilitators, local communities, and vendors thus requiring strong communication and coordination skills.

∎ Job Nature: Full Time(75% field work (center/informal tented settlements) and 25% Office work;)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify facility locations through consultation with the community members, secure related permissions, and set up the learning facilities.
∎ Enroll children where necessary with the following needs assessment.
∎ Ensure all required materials for the facility, facilitators, and children for teaching learning activities.
∎ Organizes all logistics (i.e., invitations/coordination of attendees, venues, transportation, lodging, meals, etc.) for training of project staff and facilitators.
∎ Consolidates all reports on the status and progress of the project to submit to the Technical Officer.
∎ Day-to-day communication with center facilitators to ensure the planned progress of the project activities.
∎ Maintain regular communication with CiC, and site management and attend monthly coordination meetings.
∎ Responsible for data entry of data into a prescribed format for assigned learning facilities; provides regular updates and analysis.
∎ Train and coach, the field facilitators on the different tools, curricula, and approaches.
∎ Conduct observations in learning facilities and provide recommendations to the center facilitators and caregivers.
∎ Assist facilitators in understanding and adapting project models to local contexts.
∎ Support developing lesson plans and do a follow-up on the implementation.
∎ Form CESG for each center and organize regular monthly meetings to sensitize them on educational activities, and support mechanisms.
∎ Organize monthly meetings for parents and conduct parenting.
∎ Work in compliance with and respect for the principles of Child Protection and confidentiality, working with FDMN and host communities with sensitivity.
∎ Identify key protection threats affecting the children and raise them with the line authorities as well as with the center facilitators.
∎ Identify safety issues and follow up with the center facilitators on the safety and security of the chosen locations.
∎ Be aware of the emergency procedures in response and ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implemented after coordination with the Project Coordinator.
∎ Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality, and reporting requirements are followed.
∎ Attend and participate in local training and capacity-building events as needed.
∎ Implement project activities in line with the education sector's guidelines.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
∎ Knowledge and experience working with children focusing 3 - 18 years.
∎ Experience in the Rohingya Education program (Myanmar Curriculum) will be preferable.
∎ Knowledge of safety issues concerning children and adolescents.
∎ Knowledge of child safeguarding and Psycho-Social support programming.
∎ Ability to train and coach staff on ECD, Facilitation skills, and parent engagement.
∎ Good command of English, both written and oral.
∎ Skill in photography
∎ Good command of the Chitagonian language is highly appreciable.
∎ Proficient with MS Office applications
∎ Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
∎ Creative and able to come up with, embrace, and coordinate innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
∎ Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
∎ Ability to cope and work under pressure.
∎ Well-organized, self-motivated, ability to work in a team.
∎ Ability to work in difficult and high-risk situations.
∎ The position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
∎ Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis, including during a PROTTYASHI response to a manmade or natural disaster.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be 46,667 BDT with project contributory provident fund, Gross 75% festival bonus and regular traveling and communication bill.
