Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Disaster Managemnet, Master of Development Studies (MDS) in Disaster management
∎ A Master Degree in disaster risk management or Diploma or certified training relevant to DRR theory/practice will be considered as an advantage. Educational qualification may be relaxed for highly experienced candidate
∎ Skills Required: Environment/ Disaster Management

∎ At least 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Advocacy, Field or Project Organizer, Monitoring, Program Officer/ Manager, Supervision
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1: Effective management of the Disaster Risk Reduction
∎ Design, formulate & implement Disaster Risk Reduction activities around and inside the Rohingya Refugee camps
∎ • Coordinate program implementation with the executing/implementing agencies and monitor project progress, delivery and results
∎ Develop ADRA's disaster response plan for Rohingya refugee and support in the event of emergencies and disasters and coordinate resource mobilization
∎ Identify and promote linkages of DRR with the early recovery framework which can reduce the chance of disaster in refugee camps.
∎ Liaise regularly with the Government and other counterparts and keep management informed on the strategic direction of the Disaster Risk Reduction in the Rohingya camps
∎ Provide technical guidance to the project field personnel for effective day-today program implementation
∎ Regular coordinate with team leader for the smooth implementation of DRR activities.
∎ Regular field visit for ensuring the implementation of DRR activities in Rohingya camps
∎ Coordinate with CIC for preparation and execution of DRR related activities.
∎ 2: Develop strategic partnerships an implement resource mobilization strategy
∎ Develop strategic partnerships with donors, UN and non-UN system organizations, NGOs and Government organization to ensure effective management and implementation of the Disaster Management activities.
∎ Prepare briefing documents for donors, organize donor briefings for resource mobilization
∎ Comply with the donor reports both physical and financial as per the reporting requirements
∎ Coordinate with the Government counterpart and various stakeholders for effective coordination and policy dialogue in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction
∎ Develop cyclone, flood, land slide and earthquake contingency plan for better disaster risk reduction.
∎ 3: Provide quality advisory services and facilitate Knowledge Building and Management
∎ Identify and document best practices and lessons learned linked to the Disaster Risk Reduction
∎ Advocate for the role of Disaster Risk Reduction in all programmatic fields and promote mainstreaming of Disaster Risk Reduction programming within Rohingya Refugee Camp.
∎ Liaise with regional and local institutions and organizations specialized in Disaster Risk Reduction in support of ' best practices' for experience sharing and replication
∎ Organize training for the key stakeholders on the Disaster Risk Reduction
∎ Sensitize Rohingya refugee about the impacts of disaster and aware them about early recovery.
∎ 4: Monitoring and Progress Controls
∎ Monitor the EPRO and the local personnel engaged with DRR activities in the Camps.
∎ Timely and accurate submission of monthly quantitative and qualitative progress report on regional portfolio.
∎ Regular field visits and submission of field monitoring reports on project.
∎ 5: Budgetary Activities:
∎ Prepare the budgets of DRR activities which will be implemented around the Rohingya camps
∎ Oversee the expenditure of allocated budgets
∎ 6: Others:
∎ Any other task assigned by supervisor/ Management

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 50 years
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English is required
∎ Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
∎ Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Excellent ability to quickly grasp and synthesize inputs from a range of disciplines related to disaster management and development

Salary: Negotiable
