Responsibilities & Context:

Key Eligibility Criteria:

🔹 Common Criteria for Both Positions:

  • Minimum 20 years of progressive banking experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management position (SEVP or above) in any reputed scheduled bank.

  • Proven leadership capability and a strong understanding of the Shariah-based banking system.

  • Postgraduate degree from a recognized university in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.

  • No record of regulatory penalty or involvement in any major financial irregularity.

  • Sound knowledge of Bank Companies Act, Islamic Banking Guidelines, and Bangladesh Bank circulars.

  • Age not exceeding 55 years as of the date of application (may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates).

  • Must possess excellent communication, analytical, and strategic management skills.

  • Preference will be given to the applicants who started their banking career as MTO/Probationary Officer.


Position-Specific Requirements:

🔸 Deputy Managing Director – Business:

  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in leading business divisions, including Corporate Banking, SME, Retail, and Foreign Trade.

  • Strong track record in business development, customer relationship management, and achieving board-approved budgets.

  • Capable of driving innovation in Islamic banking products and digital banking services.

🔸 Deputy Managing Director – Investment:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in core Investment functions, including Investment Risk Management (IRM), Investment Administration, and Investment Policy formulation.

  • Sound understanding of Islamic modes of financing (Murabaha, Ijara, Musharaka, etc.).

  • Expertise in managing large Investment portfolios, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining asset quality.
