Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate in Medical Science (MBBS or Equivalent) with Masters in Public Health.
Job Context:
∎ National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP) invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Divisional TB Expert with Tuberculosis Program funded by Global Fund. The appointment will be made on Contractual Service Agreement basis for 10 months which is renewable depending on performance and availability of funds. The position will report to Line Director (TB-L and ASP) and will work under direct supervision and guidance of the Divisional Director (Health) and Program Manager.
∎ Posting location: Cumilla (subject to relocate to any Division)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Enable NTP with planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of TB control activities in the respective division;
∎ Guide, coordinate and monitor implementation of the TB control activities in the districts upazila's within the division in close collaboration with the civil surgeons and NGO partners;
∎ Prepare requirements for training in TB control activities, organize and participate in training/ orientation of staff and community members;
∎ Identify additional requirement for human resources;
∎ Organize and supervise the field activities on supervision and monitoring of DOT centers in collaboration with civil surgeons and NGO partners;
∎ Facilitate intra/inter sectoral coordination;
∎ Prepare field reports, supervision and monitoring reports, monthly plans of action and progress reports of the programme and submit these to NTP, civil surgeon and NGO partners;
∎ Collaborate in operational research carried out in the TB control services;
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of working experience in the field of communicable disease control; Working experience in TB program with National or International organization will be considered as an additional value.
∎ Skills:
∎ High-level analytical and organizational skills applied to planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health care, particularly TB services;
∎ Skills in communication and facilitating coordination among decision makers and NTP partners;
∎ High level of proficiency in English and Bengali;
∎ Skills in report writing;
∎ Proficient in at using a computer to produce reports, prepare correspondence, compose e-mail and prepare multi-media presentations, operating skill and knowledge of Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Salary:
∎ 127,578/ -(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.
