Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning and execution of all distribution activities by managing and optimizing operations across various depots and achieving significant cost reductions
Ensure high levels of efficiency in logistics and distribution, including management of cold-chain systems.
Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System), TMS (Transportation Management System), and ERP (Enterprise Resource Plan-ning) effectively
Maintain high service levels to ensure timely deliveries and optimal inventory management
Manage a team of distribution professionals, fostering a culture of high performance through coaching, mentorship, and SOP implementation (ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices - GDP) - Manage budgeting, cost control, and profitability across the distribution network
Drive improvements through the adoption of advanced technology and automation
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate contracts, establish service level agreements, and proactively identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
Achieve delivery cost and return targets, maintain budget adherence, and ensure timely collection of cash and credit dues
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times, enhance overall supply chain efficiency, and ensure data integrity throughout the distribution process
Perform any other necessary tasks as assigned by management
