Education:
∎ Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting/ Finance, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting/ Finance
∎ Master's Degree in Accounting/ Finance from a recognized University.

∎ Age at most 55 years
∎ Candidate must have a Chartered Accountant (Qualified);
∎ At least 15 years job experience of which at least 10 years of proven experience in a senior level finance and accounts position in any development organization;
∎ Experienced in direct supervision of a diverse team of professional accountants and financial management team members;
∎ Demonstrated ability to write financial reports and ensuring timely delivery of financial reports to the government and donors;
∎ Demonstrated knowledge of International Financial Reporting standard (IFRS);
∎ Demonstrated expertise with GOB financial rules and regulations;
∎ Experienced in working with accounting software packages.
∎ Experienced in TALLY software will be a plus point;
∎ Must have extensive experienced in operating system of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint);
∎ Fluency in speaking and competency in writing English and Bangla is required.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Director, Finance & Accounts Division will provide support to DAM Management regarding financial management and strategic decision and will be responsible for overall operations of the division;
∎ Direct and supervise day to day financial activities of three wings of Finance & Accounts Division namely General Finance Unit, Project Finance Unit and institutional Finance Unit and guide directly all activities related to Accounting and Financial Management of the Division;
∎ Provide support to the Finance & Accounts Division to approve voucher and other expenses as per delegation of financial power of the organization;
∎ Provide assistance and coordination during external financial audits if any, and provide necessary support on regular basis;
∎ Initiate process of appointment of external auditor, tax consultant and other financial consultant as per rules of the organization;
∎ Ensure that the internal audit team is undertaking audit as per plan and circulating the audit reports to all concern in due time including necessary findings and recommendations;
∎ Initiate process in obtaining approval of audit report by the Executive Committee;
∎ Maintaining liaison with development partners, Tax/Vat authority, Bank, insurance, Financial Institutions and other relevant organizations in respect of all types of financial matters;
∎ Support to the Higher Authority in all financial information, budget preparations, revised budget formulation and budgetary control;
∎ Perform any other duties as assigned by the Higher Authority.

∎ Finance & Accounts Division is a core division in DAM Head Office provide strategic direction and leadership of the financial and accounting management of the Division and other relevant financial policy to ensure compliance with DAM rules and regulations.

∎ DAM is now looking for a competent and energetic Bangladeshi professional for employment as a Director, Finance & Accounts. This is a senior management level position in DAM to lead and guide the team members of the Finance & Accounts (F & A) division under the overall supervision of DAM Management.

∎ Job Nature: Full- time contractual.
∎ Location: Head Office, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
∎ Reportable to: President, DAM.
∎
∎ Position Summary:
∎ Director, Finance & Accounts (F &A) will provide support to DAM Management regarding strategic direction and leadership of the Financial and Accounts management of the Division as well as organization S/he will manage and supervise the Finance & Accounts team members, which includes Joint/Deputy/ Assistant Directors and other team members in respect of all financial matters and annual performance evaluations. S/he must have proven experience and skills in Financial and Accounting Manual and operations policies and procedures as well as well conversation with financial rules and regulations of GOB including tax and VAT. S/he will be competent in handling external auditor, tax consultant and other financial consultant as per rules and regulations of the organization. S/he will prepare Donor and organizational financial reports as and when required. S/he will maintain close relationship with other divisions, institutions and projects in DAM This position is based in the Head Office in Dhaka and need travel to field offices when required.
