Experience:

• Diploma in Nursing
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing

• Diploma in Dialysis Technology (DDT)

• MATS with minimum 2–3 years dialysis unit experience

1. Prepare dialysis machines and equipment prior to each session, ensuring proper functioning and safety checks.

2. Perform pre-dialysis patient assessment including vital signs, weight, and general condition.

3. Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment as per physician’s orders and standard protocols.

4. Monitor patients during dialysis and promptly report any complications or abnormalities.

5. Maintain accurate documentation of treatment details, patient status, and machine parameters.

6. Ensure proper handling and care of vascular access (AV fistula, graft, and catheters) using aseptic techniques.

7. Follow strict Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) practices within the dialysis unit.

8. Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis machines and equipment after each use.

9. Assist in dialyzer reprocessing/reuse procedures as per policy (if applicable).

10. Maintain adequate stock of dialysis consumables and report requirements timely.

11. Educate patients and caregivers regarding dialysis procedures, access care, and lifestyle guidance as instructed.

12. Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care.

13. Respond effectively to emergencies such as hypotension, clotting, or equipment malfunction.

14. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
