Job Context:
∎ This position is responsible for Innovation and Research & Development in a 35+ tons capacity knitting composite mill, lead the independent management of the department, driving the creation of competitive, sustainable product portfolios aligned with global trends, environmental standards, and customer expectations. Oversee the development of innovative products, training of the team, and strategic initiatives to ensure the growth and success of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure Independently managing the Innovation and R&D department of 35+ tons capacity of knitting composite mill. Thorough knowledge of latest fashions, customer trends, seasons, quality and technical. Knowledge of synthetic weft knitted fabrics from various categories of structures is essential.
∎ Ensure Independently duplicating various types of customer products given by the customer and promoting new innovative product ranges to customers based on the particular customer trends, forecast, expectations and the seasons. Vast knowledge of customer trends, forecast, expectations and season etc. is must.
∎ Ensure and establish competitive, innovative and sustainable product portfolio to win the new customers and new business from the existing customer to grow the entire business. Thorough knowledge of global sustainable requirements and environmentally friendly requirements, esthetic and technical requirements, performance-based requirements, colour trends, fabric/garment categories are must.
∎ Ensure different promoting programs, styles and methods to have the customer attraction. Vast knowledge of different promotion systems such as, Magazines, Mood boards, Catalogues, Physical Display boards/racks/Dummies, Digital Displays, Presentations, Fabric studios, Product ranges, and Product launches etc. is essential.
∎ Ensure the training & development of the team to ensure the quality and the delivery of the products and the programs within the pre-defined time lines.
∎ Ensure to guide all the team members to establish proper record keeping system to make sure every submitted product can be duplicate during bulk production without any deviation by keeping the trust and interest of our customers and venders. Technical knowledge of fabric categories such as, Single Jersey, Interlock, Rib, Engineering Stripe, Fleece, Terry, waffle, Pique, Ponte, Micro-fiber Polar fleece and Jacquard structures in both single and double jersey machines is must.
∎ Ensure & establish cost effective product port-folio with the customer expected quality level. Thorough knowledge of fabric costing and customer quality standards is essential.
∎ Ensure all quality parameters are within the customer expectations and product RFT. Responsible to analyze quality parameters each stage to verify the product is in line with the target requirements or not.
∎ Ensure sign off the product with technical team prior to submit to the customer/vender to ensure no any technical dispute during bulk orders.
∎ Provide and assist to sort out in all day-to-day quality, and operational related matters and solve all the difficult situations through the discussion with higher authorities whenever necessary.
∎ Be responsible to prepare and maintain in daily, weekly, monthly annual basis all reports related Innovation and R&D.
∎ Should take the additional responsibility given by management whenever necessary.

∎ 15+ years of experience in Textile industry related to the Innovations and R&D of Knitted fabric with strong exposure to global brands and technologies. 3+ experience in the Deputy General Manager – Innovation and R&D position in the reputed knitting composite mill.
