Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist the Program Manager in the design, facilitation, and implementation of capacity-building programs for nutrition staff, volunteers, and community health workers, ensuring training on MIYCN, SAM and MAM management, ECCD, PSS, and SBC.
∎ Support post-training evaluations and help the Program Manager in identifying knowledge gaps, providing refresher sessions as needed.
∎ Aid in promoting knowledge integration by ensuring staff and volunteers apply learning through active program activities and provide ongoing mentoring to maintain service quality.
∎ Assist the Program Manager in overseeing the implementation of community-based nutrition activities such as GMP sessions, cooking demonstrations, and IYCF counseling, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
∎ Monitor key performance indicators, prepare program progress reports, and assist in fostering collaboration with community leaders and caregivers to encourage active participation.
∎ Ensure the establishment and management of a complaint and feedback mechanism, ensuring timely communication and regular consultation with the Program Manager.
∎ Oversee the integrated nutrition facility team following the standard procedure in the management of SAM and MAM at OTP and TSFP services, including admission/discharge criteria, routine follow up, distribution of therapeutic and targeted supplementary food, medication and treatment for the target beneficiary.
∎ Aid in ensuring accurate data management and documentation, supporting the Program Manager in the analysis of SAM/MAM admissions and generating timely reports.
∎ Assist in coordinating resources and ensuring staff are adequately trained, and work with key partners like UNICEF and WFP to enhance service delivery.
∎ Overseeing the implementation of micronutrient supplementation programs for children, adolescents, and pregnant/Breastfeeding women, ensuring coordination and monitoring of coverage.
∎ Assist in building staff capacity and provide support in delivering supplementation services and nutrition education.
∎ Routinely monitor and ensure accurate information collection and analysis, assisting in implementing corrective actions to maintain program quality.
∎ Support the Program Manager in developing coordination strategies and external engagement plans to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
∎ Prepare and submit timely reports for Nutrition Sector, donor, and internal APR.
∎ Represent the Program Manager in coordination meetings within the Nutrition Sector, partner meetings, and internal meetings when the Program Manager is absent.
∎ Assist the Program Manager for staff recruitment, leave management, attendance tracking, and ensuring the timely submission of related documents.
∎ Collaborate with the Program Manager to liaise with the finance and logistics departments, ensuring prompt follow-up on budget, volunteer payments and procurement processes while maintaining high standards of resource management.
∎ Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary
∎ Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries
∎ Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities
∎ Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees
∎ Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
∎ The Deputy Program Manager – Health, Nutrition & Surveillance will ensure the effective implementation of Integrated Nutrition Interventions for malnutrition treatment and prevention in the Rohingya camps, adhering to standard guidelines and maintaining high quality. The role involves managing activities in eight camps through 10 Integrated Nutrition Facilities, ensuring equitable access to services for children, adolescent girls, and PBW. Responsibilities include supervising, monitoring, assisting managing budgets, preparing reports, assisting building team capacity, and ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery. The Deputy Program will support the Program Manager in day-to-day operations, monitoring program impact, and addressing service gaps to enhance effectiveness and access.
∎ Objective 1: Nutrition service providers are capacitated to provide comprehensive maternal, child and adolescent nutrition service package in Camp.
∎ Assist the Program Manager in the design, facilitation, and implementation of capacity-building programs for nutrition staff, volunteers, and community health workers, ensuring training on MIYCN, SAM and MAM management, ECCD, PSS, and SBC.
