Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure proper administration of company accounts, cash, and bank transactions, receipt and payment statement, cash and fund flow statement, stock records, trial balance, TAX and VAT management, etc.
∎ Assure accuracy in trading-related activities through proper verification & monitoring such as collections & dishonor issues of cheques.
∎ Confirm on time payment of parties by verifying the cheque receiving copy.
∎ Ensure proper verification of petty cash vouchers and prepare monthly petty cash payment summary statements.
∎ Ensure the accuracy of all expense calculations such as survey office rent, vessel handling expenses, lighter permission expenses, crew repatriation expenses, internet bills, telephone bills & others party payment expenses.
∎ Make sure that fund transfer-related activities are correctly done & maintain regular mailing correspondence to the dealing bank for fund transfers.
∎ Ensure regularity in bank reconciliation to provide party payments on time.
∎ Prepare foreign currency C-FORM & forwarding letter against PDA (Proforma Disbursement Account), additional DA for all inward mother & tanker vessels and submit to the bank.
∎ Ensure on time payment of port dues after checking the requisition properly for both lighter & tanker vessels.
∎ Verify cash advance vouchers (IOU), deferred credit and gratuity note, CTM & provision note and ensure proper entry in software.
∎ Verify & check demurrage reports & claim files along with maintaining communication with the Foreign Trade department
∎ Follow up all the tasks related to coupon i.e requisition raise, purchase order, GRN (Goods Received Note), invoice park, vendor clearing, monthly Equilibrium Trip, and 3rd party outstanding bills.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Candidates having experience in shipping & C & F accounts will get preference.
∎ Practical Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email Correspondence & ERP Software.
∎ Practical knowledge in IAS(International Accounting System)/ IFRS (International Financial Reporting System), Shipping terms, C & F, Company Act, Income Tax and VAT
∎ Good command over English & Bangla both in writing & speaking
∎ Interpersonal skills.
∎ Report writing and Presentation Skills
