Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct or organise BMS and Compliance training to ensure all staff are adequately trained in relevant BMS Procedures and up to date and aware of compliance requirements.
∎ Ensure all SMEC staff (in Bangladesh) are inducted into the BMS
∎ Ensure all SMEC staff (in Bangladesh) are trained in the relevant BMS Procedures
∎ Ensure satisfactory implementation of SMEC’s BMS in Bangladesh
∎ Internal Auditing:
∎ a)Ensure an internal audit schedule is established and maintained
∎ b)Conduct or organise others to conduct sufficient internal audits
∎ c)Ensure audit reports are promptly prepared (including the measurement of performance criteria)
∎ d)Report audit outcomes to Management
∎ e)Manage Corrective and Preventive actions
∎ Follow-up audits to ensure negative findings are corrected and improvements are made
∎ Maintenance of certification to ISO 9001 for SMEC BD and ACE
∎ Assisting BU Head in implementing and monitoring supplier (Subconsultant / JV partner/Operational Support/Subcontractor/Third Party Representative) due diligence and registration requirements.
∎ Conduct audits (Internal & Projects) to ensure adherence to standards and providing assistance during external audits as per requirements
∎ Participate in Management Review Meetings and update accordingly.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Bachelors’ degree from a reputed University
∎ 5-6 years relevant experience in compliance/audit
∎ Knowledge of various compliance and audit standards in Bangladesh
∎ Positive and Pro-active attitude to work
∎ Courteous and business orientated manner when communicating with stakeholders to foster and promote good working relations
