Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operations:
∎ Develop and implement shipping strategies to optimize procurement, pricing, and supply chain efficiency.
∎ Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
∎ Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed decisions.
∎ Oversee inventory management and control to minimize excess stock and maximize stock turnover.
∎ Shipping Operations:
∎ Supervise the shipping team and ensure efficient coordination of import and export activities.
∎ Manage and optimize the shipment scheduling, logistics, and freight forwarding processes.
∎ Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
∎ Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to resolve shipping-related issues.
∎ Oversee the maintenance and repair of shipping equipment and containers.
∎ Team Leadership:
∎ Recruit, train, and mentor staff in the shipping departments.
∎ Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a motivated and productive team.
∎ Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
∎ Cost Control:
∎ Develop and monitor budgets for shipping operations.
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce operational expenses.
∎ Ensure the cost-effectiveness of shipping routes and modes of transportation.
∎ Quality and Compliance:
∎ Ensure compliance with industry regulations, trade laws, and customs regulations.
∎ Implement quality control measures to maintain product integrity during shipping.
∎ Monitor the quality and safety of packaging and handling procedures.
∎ Reporting and Analysis:
∎ Prepare regular reports on shipping performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
∎ Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for optimization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 50 years

∎ Proven experience in shipping management within the garments or related industry with Inditex Buyer.
∎ Strong leadership and management skills.
∎ Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
∎ In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
∎ Proficiency in using shipping software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
∎ Analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
∎ Familiarity with safety and security standards in shipping.
