Responsibilities & Context:
Core Network Management:
Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of the ISP`s core network infrastructure.
Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the core network to meet current and future demands.
Implement cutting-edge technologies and best practices to enhance network performance.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute the technology strategy aligned with the overall business goals of the ISP.
Drive innovation in core network architecture and planning to ensure a competitive edge in the market.
Capacity Planning:
Conduct thorough capacity assessments to anticipate network growth and plan for necessary expansions or upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align capacity planning with business projections and customer demands.
Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to core network and planning.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the ISP`s network capabilities.
Vendor Management:
Collaborate with vendors and negotiate contracts for network equipment and services.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Compliance & Risk Management:
Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards in the telecommunications industry.
Ensure the ISP`s core network adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the core network, planning, and technology initiatives.
Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions or failures in the network.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high-performing team of network architects, planners, and engineers.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for team members.
