∎ Job Summary: Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is going to implement project in the host community of Ukhiya and Teknaf with the funding of International Organization of Migration (IOM). Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled Cutting Master cum Trainer for "Livelihood Improvement For Everyone (LIFE)" Project.
∎ Reporting: Cutting Master cum Trainer will report to Training and Production Center Manager of the project. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct need assessment among the beneficiaries to measure their knowledge, skill and interest to adopt training on tailoring/clothing.
∎ Develop tailoring manual with Training and Production Center Manager based on participants' knowledge and skill.
∎ Develop and agree workplans for the smooth running of training in Training and Production Center.
∎ Train participants on how to operate basic tools, and peripheral equipment following revised contextualized curriculum specification.
∎ Teach sewing along with other relevant subjects in the Training and Production Center.
∎ Provide instruction and demonstration of basic training, use of basic patterns for bags, cushion covers and clothing items means for mending damaged clothing and other alterations, basic machine use and basic machine maintenance.
∎ Supervise and coordinate participants engaged in local context problem-solving and monitoring participants' capacities and resilience.
∎ Train participants on how to maintain relevant equipment and tools.
∎ Train participants on how to adjust or modify and customize relevant tools and items.
∎ Train participants on how to relate to consumers or vendors, performing on ensuring proper business etiquette.
∎ Give necessary feedbacks for the participants.
∎ Provide support and advice time to time to the participants.
∎ Ensure delivery of the products on time to the consumers/vendors.
∎ Ensure safe and appropriate use of all equipment.
∎ Sharing of existing problems with Training and Production Center Manager.
∎ Book-keeping of information of participants and sharing with Training and Production Center Manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in working on the tailoring/mini garments' trades.
∎ Certificate on the relevant expertise will be an added advantage.
∎ High technical knowledge may relax academic requirements.
∎ Maintain Skype Id. Email address.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be 26,418 BDT with regular traveling and communication bill.
