Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct initial assessments to determine the patients'/clients’ needs and goals.
∎ Provide counseling on nutrition practice issues to the patients/clients of remote and vulnerable communities.
∎ Maintain proper confidentiality to build trust with patients'/clients’, and their families.
∎ Provide individual and group counseling sessions on nutrition to raise awareness among mothers and adolescent girls to combat malnutrition.
∎ Initiate and explore counseling support for eligible patients/clients, consultation with program personnel.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the patients/clients throughout the counseling process.·
∎ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as Project Coordinators, Medical Doctors, Nurses, SPO (MEAL), Psycho-Social Workers, and Community Mobilizers, to provide comprehensive care to patients/clients.
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date patients/clients records·
∎ Provide support to team members as needed or instructed by the supervisor or organization.
∎ Conduct counseling sessions.
∎ Provide individual and group counseling support on Nutrition.
∎ Raise awareness about the project goal and engage community members.
∎ Record keeping and maintaining all kinds of forms/registers, reports, files, guidelines, and other documents related to counseling.
∎ Stay informed about current trends.
∎ Perform any other tasks requested by supervisor and upon the needs of the organization.
∎ This Project will be valid for nine months.
∎ Bachelor of social science·
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience.
∎ Similar Counselor job; experience with other NGOs·
∎ Counseling session conduction experience on Nutrition, particularly with low-literate beneficiaries.·
∎ Experience in training skills.
∎ In-depth understanding of counseling methods.
∎ Fluency in English.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
∎ Willingness to travel, field visit and ability to work under pressure.
