Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare pre-costing and post-costing sheets for each order and style.
∎ Analyze variances between projected and actual costs, identifying reasons for discrepancies.
∎ Assist in the preparation of master budgets for different departments.
∎ Monitor budget adherence and issue variance reports with justifications.
∎ Lead budgeting processes by compiling data from various departments to create comprehensive forecasts.
∎ Production & Operational Cost Monitoring SMV, WIP status, production bottlenecks, and wastage.
∎ Prepare monthly MIS reports, including order closing reports, style-wise profitability, and order P&L.
∎ Analyze trends in CM, capacity utilization, and factory overheads, suggesting cost-saving measures.
∎ Liaise with the audit team to validate costing controls and compliance.
∎ Assist in monitoring inventory flow to minimize holding costs.
∎ Validate closing stock values with the finance team and support annual stock-taking.
∎ Support the implementation of ERP modules for costing and production.
∎ Participate in lean cost initiatives and value engineering projects.
∎ Create and manage seasonal FOB KPI reporting tool to facilitate product value/ margin/FOB discussion with cross-functional teams and to enhance margin optimization·
∎ Partner with Liaison Costing Team to monitor and forecast raw material price trends, labor cost trends in sourcing countries and other cost drivers·
∎ Provide product costing expertise to Product Development team during product creation cycles to advise on key cost drivers and options to adjust costs to meet margin targets.
∎ Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets managing budgets after completion of Job.
