Responsibilities & Context:
Coordinator-Quality Education is the lead role in the project, of Community-Based Education Program (CBEP), in order to "Enhancing the Quality of Education for Vulnerable Communities in Khulna." This position focuses on collaborating with local targeted schools, ensuring the effective operation of Parents-Teachers Associations (PTA) within those schools, and conducting capacity-building sessions for teachers.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise the implementation of project activities in collaboration with field staff, the community, and other stakeholders.
Conduct regular visits to project locations and targeted schools to oversee and follow up on project activities.
Establish and maintain liaison with Upazila and District Education Department/Education Officers.
Organize meetings with key stakeholders, including School Management Committees, parents, and local community members.
Establish Parents-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in targeted schools and facilitate quarterly meetings of PTAs.
Provide capacity-building training and regular mentoring & coaching to newly formed PTAs.
Coordinate and facilitate teacher’s training sessions at targeted schools.
Maintain consistent communication with PTAs, including field staff (Communication Officers).
Foster and sustain a positive and functional relationship with school authorities, PTA members, and teachers.
Organize advocacy meetings at the Upazila level with relevant government officials and neighboring school heads.
Develop yearly action plans, budgets, and monthly action plans and ensure proper implementation.
Monitor and gather relevant data and information periodically regarding the performance of PTAs.
Arrange welcome and cultural programs for visitors and provide appropriate training for children involved.
Collect and preserve necessary information and case studies from the field and prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
Ensure compliance with special project requirements in consultation with the Program Manager (PM) and approval from the Director of Education.
