Experience:

• Minimum 8th standard is essential. SSC is desirable.

• Certification on cooking courses is highly desirable.

• Standard Bangla is essential. Understanding of Chittagonian dialect is desirable.

Job Context: Prepare meals for patients and MSF staff, according to hygiene standards and security rules, in order to ensure their nutritional needs.

This position will be based in Ukhiya (Cox’s Bazar).

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate portion sizes, presentation, and quality standards.

• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, wash the dishes, utensils etc.

• Keeping a track and maintain inventory of kitchen utensils, cutlery, cookware etc and report line manager immediately if there is any damage/ urgent requirements.

• Manage the kitchen food store and organize the stock efficiently while minimizing wastage.

• Plan and coordinate weekly grocery shopping for the assigned premises (guest house/ office), ensuring cost-effective procurement). Keep accurate records of expenses related to food and supplies and assist in budget management.

• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards always.

• Assist in menu planning to accommodate dietary requirements and preferences.

• Income tax deduction at source will be applicable based on the current income tax rule.

• Festival bonus entitlement is effective upon completing one (01) year of uninterrupted services with MSF.

• There are no provisions for relocations.
