Job Context:

∎ Reports to: Jhpiego Program Director
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Pre-workshop preparations
∎ Review provided literature and landscape documents on adolescents and PPFP in Bangladesh provided by Jhpiego team (policy documents, results of interviews/focus groups, stakeholder map, personas, journey maps, etc.)
∎ Participate in workshop preparations including:
∎ Creation of participant list
∎ Creation of agenda
∎ Identification of workshop materials list
∎ Strategy for engaging participants in order to for the workshop to be most effective
∎ Participate in regular calls (monthly/weekly as appropriate) with Jhpiego team to discuss preparations, understanding of the issue and stakeholders, organization of the workshop, and other topics relevant to the workshop
∎ Basic run-through of workshop with Jhpiego team the week before the workshop
∎ Facilitate HCD workshop
∎ In consultation with Jhpiego team, facilitate a three-day workshop in both English and Bengali focusing on the Empathy, Define, and Ideate stages of the Human Centered Design process
∎ Participation in all scheduled calls and meetings
∎ Provide written and verbal inputs to all preparation and workshop materials, including but not limited to the participant list, agenda, materials list, workshop strategy
∎ Attend, facilitate and actively engage all participants in the three-day workshop, including daily after-workshop debrief meetings with Jhpiego co-facilitators
∎ Provide written end of workshop summary and recommendations on way forward
Additional Requirements:
∎ Prior experience facilitating Human Center Design workshops preferred
∎ Strong communication and facilitation skills with different levels of government officials as well as sensitive populations
∎ Fluent in Bengali and English required
∎ Experience engaging with adolescents using highly participatory methods required
∎ Understanding of the Bangladesh health system and post-partum family planning methods preferred
