Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervising and monitoring on a day-to-day basis the implementation of the building and rehabilitation activities in the project ensuring compliance of MSF standards, protocols and procedures. This includes the following tasks:
∎ Analysing, according to customer requirements and MSF programs, the needs for construction/rehabilitation works and reporting to the line manager accordingly, in order to provide the necessary information to find an appropriate and efficient solution, including planning of (financial, technical, material and human) resources that meet the mission needs;
∎ Analysing, according to Bangladeshi building code or camp requirement (and any other essential Bangladeshi laws) the needs for construction/rehabilitation works and reporting to the line manager accordingly, in order to provide the necessary information to find an appropriate and efficient solution;
∎ Supervising and following up through daily visits the work of construction and/or rehabilitation in progress, in order to ensure deadlines, budget and technical specifications and to early detect potential deviations;
∎ Negotiating agreements and permissions for construction/ rehabilitation projects, establishing regular contacts with local authorities, in order to ensure all required documentation is filled upon and to avoid delays;
∎ Supporting line managers call for tenders/negotiation (architect office, company tendering) activities in order to ensure the best technical and financial conditions;
∎ Providing weekly/monthly activity reports and implementing reporting practices and protocols;
∎ Performing delegated tasks according to his/her speciality and as specified in his/her job description;
∎ Taking weekly pictures of the work and storing them in MSF server;
∎ Keeping track of the material in/out from the construction site;
∎ Performing physical survey using measuring tools available for construction purpose such as land survey, building survey and technical installation survey. Providing survey reports with all the information needed as per line manager instruction (dimensions, locations, altitude, material/structure status, finishing status, condition of technical installation such as electrical or plumbing);
∎ Guiding contractors/daily worker in project implementation according to MSF design and standards or line manager instruction;
∎ Supporting/assisting/suggesting solution to line manager during meetings (call for tenders, negotiations, construction meeting) with contractors: technical support/language support/reporting of meeting minutes;
∎ Daily supervision of New Jamtoli clinic construction activities;
∎ Translation support to the line manager during onsite visits;
∎ Cooperation with others technical departments (Watsan and electrical);
∎ Monitoring respect of the working schedule.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Essential Bangla, Chittagonian and English.
∎ Essential, independent use of Microsoft office package (word/excel/outlook);
∎ Essential, good communication skills;
∎ Essential, Keen to work under construction manager supervision;
∎ Recommended, independent use of AutoCAD software.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 59347 (Monthly)
∎ The mentioned amount of salary is before income tax deduction.
