Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Civil Engineering.
∎ At least 2 years relevant experiences within a development organization preferably in humanitarian response.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is responsible for ensuring all kinds of design, construction, repairing and to provide extensive technical support to implement CP project and others construction and repairing related activities in different locations. S/he needs to visit field every day to mobilize construction workers, to maintain measurement book (MB) and mobilize construction workers to complete site improvement works per approved design and work schedule. S/he will be reportable to Project Coordinator but maintain close functional relation with and take guidance from the Head Engineer of FIVDB, Central Office, Khadimnagar, Sylhet.
∎ Key Area-1: Technical responsibilities
∎ • Preparing design & drawing of CP facilities, structures and others structures as necessary.
∎ • Preparing detailed estimate according to site condition with rate analysis.
∎ • Cooperation in preparing BOQ.
∎ • Preparing a work progress schedule (working flow chart) for controlling scheduled time of work.
∎ • Cooperating in updating scheme-wise tracker.
∎ • Providing technical orientation to workers when necessary.
∎ Key Area-2: Site Supervision
∎ • Quality controlling of construction works and construction materials.
∎ • Controlling working progress and workmanship.
∎ • Controlling wastage during construction.
∎ • Implementing the work according to drawing, specification and progress schedule.
∎ • Proper maintenance of daily uses materials and checking the store.
∎ • Proper maintenance of MB (Measurements Book).
∎ • Mitigate those problems which will arise during construction period.
∎ • Behaving well with workers and other stake holders.
∎ Key Area-3: General responsibilities
∎ • Build up well, effective & respectful relation with community, workers, colleagues and other stake holders.
∎ • Always perform those work which are helpful for the organization, colleagues and community.
∎ • As a team member, a site engineer is bound to follow the rules & regulations of FIVDB; so he can never be involved with any activity, which will be harmful for the organization.
∎ • Reporting to immediate supervisor for progress of works, quality of supplied materials and other circumstances on periodic basis as needed.
∎ • Preparing activity report for monthly, quarterly and annually.
∎ • Cooperation in preparing project completion report and other reports required by authority at any time.
∎ • Performing other technical work assigned by the Supervisor.
∎ Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations in Bangladesh, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Fluent in Bangla, English and local language.
∎ Work as team player and has flexibility in his/her work
∎ Has to be willing to take challenge of working in a participatory approach for Rohingya Community/ Host Community
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill.
∎ Understanding of local cultural and language
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village/ community level
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Basic Knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Word Package and other computer packages.
∎ Candidates with experience of working in Rohingya camps will be given priority.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50000 - 60000 (Monthly)
∎ Taxes payable to be deducted)
