∎ About EKOTA Consortium:
∎ Ekota Bangladesh is a partner of the Church Agency Network Disaster Operation (CAN DO*) in Australia. The Ekota consortium in Bangladesh consists of three partner agencies, - Caritas Bangladesh, Christian Aid and RDRS Bangladesh. Under a broader donor consortium framework, Ekota partners will contribute to the donor efforts to meet humanitarian and protection needs and increase resilience and self-reliance of Rohingya and host communities in Bangladesh. Keeping line with the donor`s expected outcomes Ekota partners will intervene in providing community-based protection and improving WASH facilities in the Rohingya camps, and re-vegetation, disaster risk reduction and livelihood development both in the camps and nearby host communities in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox`s Bazar District.
∎ Job description of the MEAL Specialist is enclosed. The position in the 1st year will be in Christian Aid, Cox Bazar Office. In the 2nd year, the position will be based in Caritas Bangladesh and subsequently to RDRS in the 3rd year.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ You will be involved in:
∎ Conducting and/or managing reviews and evaluations of projects that use both quantitative and qualitative monitoring and impact data.
∎ Assessing needs and gaps in MEAL capacity and plan programs of work to build capacity in complex environments.
∎ Managing large, complex pieces of work with multiple stakeholders and to produce key deliverables on time.
∎ Coordinate and cooperate with other consortium members for integrating key learning from program implementation process.
∎ Planning, monitoring and reviewing qualitative outcomes and impact.
∎ Making a difference in the lives of vulnerable people
Additional Requirements:
∎ You will thrive as the MEAL Specialist, if you are strong at:
∎ Substantial experience in designing, planning, monitoring, reviewing and reporting in programming issues and Theory of Change and Logical Framework.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and networking skills with the ability to collaborate and build alliances internally and externally.
∎ Experience and skill in guiding, advising and training diverse groups on the design and use of MEAL tools and processes
∎ Skilled in developing systems and tools for activity as well as outcome monitoring of a multi-faced programme
∎ Putting marginalised communities at the centre of our decision-making
