∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for oversight of implementation of small business ventures and related community mobilisation activities within the project including; consistent liaison and coordination with the community volunteers for field work, building capacity of the community volunteers, community level meetings, supporting development and facilitation of trainings and sensitization sessions with targeted beneficiaries in the buying and selling of food items and other small basic items in the camps.
∎ The CM will build capacity of beneficiaries to make and save money to sustain their small businesses after the project ends, ensuring linkages with business owners in and around the camps including business through middle trading persons, as detailed in the project design.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Implementation: Support the MDO to conduct a rapid assessment on market, demand and supply in the camp, and in beneficiary identification for the selected small businesses.
∎ Lead in community mobilisation activities including facilitation of community level trainings for project beneficiaries and stakeholders identified
∎ Support community volunteers in undertaking their roles including training, home visits and extending support to beneficiaries on activities including; basic financial literacy, bargaining skills, identification of demand, identification of sources of inputs value addition and sale.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation: Supervise the volunteers' day to day project implementation according to a work plan and ensure good project performance and recommendation on any required modification.
∎ Build capacity and support volunteers to use the M&E tools provided for the project for data collection and reporting.
∎ Support the MEAL team in the complaints and response mechanisms systems, at community and household level.
∎ Reporting: Document weekly volunteers and project achievements, challenges and beneficiary and community leaders' suggestions and submit weekly reports to the Market Development Officer.
∎ Additional Roles: Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 years' experience in projects implementing income generation activities
∎ Experience in team management, capacity building and supervision
∎ Experience working in Rohingya Response or similar response
∎ Excellent organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is desirable
