Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 October 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children,youth and women, promoting climate justice. The organization is going to implement a project named Creating Women Leadership for Resilience in Munda Adibasi (Indigenous) Community with the support of OXFAM .The relevant Project will be implemented in Shyamnagar Upzilla under Satkhira District. BTS is going to recruit the `Community Mobilizer` for the mentioned project.
∎ Project Name : Creating Women Leadership for Resilience in Munda Adibasi (Indigenous) Community.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Self-Help-Group:
∎ Ensure the effective implementation of the project in line with the approved activities.
∎ Rapport building with the communities and strongly mobilize the project participants and stakeholders
∎ Conduct sensitization meeting with Munda and Non-Munda community women for making Self-Help-Group (SHG).
∎ Organize orientation for all SHG member on savings and training for SHG leaders on financial management.
∎ Organize monthly coordination meeting for Self-Help-Group members on progress update, record keeping and documentations.
∎ Assist to the SHG leaders to perform their duties and responsibilities regularly.
∎ She will communicate regularly to the self-help-group members and influence so that they take part regular meeting according to the project plan.
∎ Identify challenges and gaps in project implementation through field visit and discussion with project participants.
∎ Climate Resilient IGAs:
∎ Assist in Feasibility assessment team for selecting climate resilient Income Generation action for project participants.
∎ Assist in baseline survey team for conduction baseline survey in the assigned working areas.
∎ She will be responsible to identify and select project participants in close coordination with Local Government representative (UP Chairperson/ UP member/Women member) and following participatory approach.
∎ Assist project participants to select climate resilient and market demand driven IGAs based on their experience, and eagerness.
∎ Organize capacity building training for project participants of their selected IGA options and provide start-up support.
∎ Access in Market Linkage:
∎ Organize sensitization meeting with market actors (input and output) and market management committee member and other stakeholders.
∎ Organize training for project participants on business development and business management.
∎ Introducing project participants with market actors and local stakeholders.
∎ Creating access in the markete and ensure fair price of their products.
∎ Awareness activities:
∎ Organization and conduction of Gender Equality training/meeting for project participants
∎ Organization and conduction training on climate resilience issues for project participants.
∎ Organize day observance on climate related issues, Women's day and day of 16 days activism.
∎ Organize and conduct awareness raising session on GBV and negative impact of child marriage.
∎ Meeting/training/workshop:
∎ Organize and conduct trainings, coordination meetings at Union level.
∎ Assist to organize project kick-off meeting with ensuring participation all relevant stakeholders in time.
∎ Participate in monthly staff coordination meeting with field progress and challenges faced and way forward of its.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ Regularly monitor and follow up different on going activities and assist them to do better.
∎ Collect data on a regular basis and share with PC to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Assist PC in a way to provide progress data for preparing monthly/quarterly/half yearly progress report.
∎ Collect best practice for making case story/success story, and other necessary documents as required by the project.
∎ Perform any other responsibilities as guided by the supervisor.
∎ Additional responsibilities:
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities, and multi-task work seamlessly
∎ Data collection and Report writing skills.
∎ Interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to interact with Munda and local communities.
∎ Able to local dialect (Munda) and English writing skills.
∎ Enable to handle multiple tasks, manage priorities, and be committed to following organizational objectives, values, principles, and policies.
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of BTS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Tenure of Services Contract:
∎ 3 (Three) months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project's lifetime.
∎ Minimum 2 years relevant experience and training in relevant field.
∎ Experience in field level implementation activities.
∎ Ability to work with different creed, culture, and ethnicity
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent travel to Field area in the Project Area.
∎ Knowledge in community development, ability to work under timeline, facilitating participatory training, conducting the workshop, brainstorming sessions, focus group discussions, simulation, seminars, meetings, strong interpersonal skills, team-building capacity, problem-solving skills.

Salary:
∎ Gross: Taka 30,000/= 2 days weekend Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per `Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy` of Breaking the Silence and the facilities will be applicable also based on available resources in the project budget.
