Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Social Science but preferably in Mass Communication/ Journalism/Public Relations/English from a recognized University with strong command in English

Job Context:
∎ Position Reports To: Country Representative
∎ Position supervised: None

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience and work for Jhpiego branding in the country.
∎ Write, edit, and develop contents for both electronic and print media which includes success story, photo story, video clips, press releases, annual reports and other promotional materials that communicates the organization's activities, and/or services.
∎ Generate idea, provide creative thought on layout design and take lead on development of various communication materials such as brochure, newsletter, flyer, posters, audio-visuals etc
∎ Support Country Representative and respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
∎ Establish and maintain effective relationships with local press and provide support in dissemination of public information
∎ Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
∎ Organize and coordinate all types of program visit of both nationals and internationals
∎ Take necessary step to record the proceedings of the events, meeting, training workshops and drafting those as reports and publish internally and with external communities as required
∎ Maintain a media database as well as records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
∎ Manage Jhpiego Bangladesh Program's Social Media activity (FaceBook, Yammer, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Scribed etc) to enhance visibility.
∎ Take photographs of events and activities to be used in media content by adhering organizational compliance.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5-6 years' experience in communications preferably in development organizations.
∎ Strong record of accomplishment in obtaining media coverage, demonstrated skill in generating and pitching news stories.
∎ Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop).
∎ Ability to work fast, effectively and independently in often high-pressure as well as multicultural environments
∎ Good understanding and experience of using different social media like Facebook, Yammer, Twitter, YouTube, Scribed etc
∎ Highly Proficient in English and Bangla for both verbal and written communication
∎ Excellent inter-personal communication skills.
∎ Excellent in teamwork and networking.
∎ Good computer operating skills
∎ Excellent analytical capacity and writing skills
∎ Good time management and organizational skills.
∎ Experience in photography and use of camera desirable.
∎ Ability to travel field 40% of the time.
