Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor or Master's degree in communication, journalism, social sciences or related field.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement the branding and marketing plan approved by USAID.
∎ Develop and implement the communication, outreach, and social media strategy or workplan in collaboration with project team, partner, and donor.
∎ Develop, write, and disseminate various communication materials such as fact sheets, posters, and news releases through print, broadcast, and social media.
∎ Liaise with the media to ensure coverage and promote visibility of the project.
∎ Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the project mandate and strategy.
∎ Plan, coordinate and monitor the work of external service providers and contributors such as photographers, video makers, graphic designers, etc.
∎ Assist the technical staff in developing training materials and Public Service Announcements (PSA) ensuring quality standards and compliance to donor's requirements
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 55 years
∎ Minimum 3 years of practical experience in Communication, whereas experience in Media Relation and Advocacy will value.
∎ Experience with USAID funded project in NGO is MUST.
∎ Fluent in English both written and spoken, should be able to demonstrate his/her ability to translate complicated ideas into language easily understood by others.
∎ Strong content writing experience for all media platforms.
∎ Knowledge of Adobe suite or other graphic design/editing software is a plus.
∎ Good interpersonal skill, networking and advocacy skill.
∎ Good in presentation, public speaking and photography.
∎ Knowledge of food-processing companies and marginalized women and youth is a plus.
