Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Social Science or any relevant subject from public or private universities.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ The Communication Manager will be responsible to create, implement and oversee the overall communication programs be it internal or external that effectively describe and promote the organization, its mandates, values, commitments and services. In collaboration with Technical Head of Departments (Nut & Health, FSL & DRR, WaSH, MHPSS and MEAL) and direct supervision from Deputy Country Director, the Communication Manager will responsible for identifying advocacy issues, develop and execute advocacy plan, creating new communication materials, and updating old ones when/where necessary. S/he will also responsible for ensuring organizations as well as donors visibility in line with ACF and Donor`s guideline.
∎ In order to accomplish the above, s/he will form and maintain a thorough understanding of Action Against Hunger`s history, values, culture, policies, long-term programming strategies, comparative advantage, core business, and will carry out any relevant task assigned by the line manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective 1: Overall Management Of Communication And Advocacy Program Of Action Against Hunger Bangladesh
∎ Take lead in development, planning, and implementation of communication program
∎ Develop new communication and advocacy materials as per need to effectively describe the best practices and lessons learnt in collaboration with technical departments
∎ Lead and coordinates production of information products including audio/visual communications
∎ Identify advocacy issues, develop policy briefs in consultation with relevant stakeholders
∎ Provide regular in-sights to senior management team on the areas and arena of advocacy, develop plan of action and implement
∎ Evaluate results and impact of communication and advocacy events and development of reports.
∎ Objective 2: Liaison, Netwoking And Coordination
∎ Liaison with various partners such and UN entities, INGOs, National NGOs, Private sector for effective partnership
∎ Establish effective communication and networking with stakeholders of different thematic areas
∎ Take lead in organizing the policy dialogues, workshops with professionals of different thematic areasReceiving and approving the Procurement Requests and updating the Procurement Follow-Up
∎ Objective 3: Branding And Visibility
∎ Communication and Advocacy manager will standardize and ensure brand visibility of Action Against Hunger and donors in all communications materials, including publications, banners.
∎ Implement standardization of official formats and visibility materials.
∎ Produce communication documents as per ACF brand standard and of high quality: newsletter, leaflets, annual report, calendar, website, etc. (not necessarily existing).
∎ Coordinate with project teams to manage visibility plan and budget;
∎ Build internal capacity on Action Against Hunger's brand guidelines and communications.
∎ Develop core communication and visibility materials (eg. yearly diaries/notebooks, desk calendars etc.) as per base's needs.
∎ Objective 4: Proactively Support Acfs Commitments To Gender Equality, Child Protection And Disability Sensitivity
∎ Support any other M&E and Technical activities (KAP surveys. items distribution. mass information campaigns, etc.)
∎ Support data entry efforts whenever its required
∎ Takes care of the equipment assigned to the staff
∎ Follows security measures
∎ Debriefing with ACF staff
∎ Respect of ACF Charter and internal rules and regulations
∎ Be committed to participate to any other activities in order to achieve the project goals

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience in core communication and/or relevant areas.
∎ Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
∎ Working experience with media, govt. officials and other relevant stakeholders, institutionalize system of communication across the staffs, partners and communities related to program development, learnings and advocacy activities
∎ Experience of developing policy briefs and organize advocacy events, lobbying and networking with different stakeholders, launching community initiatives for example, building on-line forum, creating an event series and writing an email newsletter.
∎ Knowledge of current humanitarian and development discourses and challenges in Bangladesh and beyond..
∎ Skill
∎ Very good oral and written capacity in English and Bangla language.
∎ A confident communicator and presenter.
∎ Ability to synthesize complex information and present to the audience in a concise and clear way
∎ Creativity and initiative in identifying public affairs/advocacy opportunities and needs
∎ Ability to produce a variety of written and visual communication products/contents of high quality.
∎ Strong writing, editing, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.
∎ Knowledge of public perceptions, landscape of local media industry and sensitivity to local conditions
∎ Experience on implementing information dissemination, community mobilization and communication with communities projects.
∎ Ability to handle sensitive situations with target audience and cultivate productive relationships.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimum support.
∎ Good organizational and planning skills.
∎ Strong knowledge, understanding, and skills to manage digital media/social media
∎ Ability of thinking "out of box", takes an interest in new ideas and new way of doing things
∎ Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
∎ Ability to act as an Action against Hunger Ambassador.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Gross monthly Salary BDT 131,000/-
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
∎ Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
∎ End of Contract Benefits: End of Contract Benefits: 30 days of salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year)
∎ Group Life, Hospitalization and OPD as per organization policy.
∎ Life and accident insurance from joining day Maternity Benefit: 3 (three) basic salary.
