Hotel, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Party/ Community Center, Restaurant, Resort
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Must be Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food preparation, hygiene, and safety, food handling procedures, and following written instructions.
∎ Must be able to read and understand in English and Bengali.
∎ Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
∎ Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
∎ Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
∎ Restock all items as needed throughout the shift.
∎ Clean and maintain station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
∎ Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
∎ Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
∎ Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Sous Chef /Chef at any time.
∎ To appropriately delegate and assist in all tasks delegated within the section.
∎ To accurately and calmly give instructions to junior staff during service and assist if necessary in the completion of the instructions.
∎ Ability to work in a team environment, calmly and effectively under pressure.
∎ Should be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 kg.
∎ Carry out any other duties as required by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Demonstrate good knife skills.
∎ Show interest and knowledge of flavor and food products
∎ Show good practice in working hygienically around food with attention to detail
∎ Possess basic math skills
∎ Experience working within a high volume fast food establishment as Line/ Commis Chef or Cook
Salary: Negotiable
