Job Context:
∎ As a Commercial Cross Border Export Manager, your main responsibility will be working with Letter of Credit (LC) arrangements to facilitate smooth import processes and ensure timely shipments. You will oversee import planning, LC arrangements, supply flow monitoring, and coordination with banks and customs clearance agents. Your expertise in making LCs and understanding LC clauses will be crucial in maintaining effective financial arrangements.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Calculate current stock, average consumption, and transit materials to prepare monthly import plans.
∎ Analyze inventory levels to determine procurement needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
∎ Identify suitable banks and negotiate discounted rates for deferred/UPAS LC/Sight LC arrangements.
∎ Initiate the procurement process through LC and ensure timely LC opening in coordination with banks.
∎ Establish communication between foreign suppliers and banks for LC/TT establishment, transactions, payments, and reporting.
∎ Prepare LC forms and necessary documents following UCP600 guidelines.
∎ Monitor the supply flow, including materials price increases, continuous supply of materials, and quality defects.
∎ Conduct gap analysis and develop countermeasures to address any issues that arise.
∎ Coordinate with freight forwarding companies to arrange on-time delivery and maintain a smooth supply chain.
∎ Facilitate communication between suppliers, banks, and customs clearance agents for shipments.
∎ Collect shipping documents from the LC issuing bank and provide them to the respective customs clearance agent, ensuring continuous follow-up.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proven experience working with LC arrangements and import processes.
∎ In-depth knowledge of LC clauses and various types of LCs (BACK TO BACK, C&F, Upass, Sight, deferred, Confirmed, unconfirmed).
∎ Strong understanding of supply chain management and import/export procedures.
∎ Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
∎ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
∎ Proficiency in working with banks, freight forwarding companies, and customs clearance agents.
