Job Context:
∎ Prottyashi, A social development organization has been working for the development of disadvantaged population of the country since its establishment and currently is going to implement a project on ensuring adolescent girls’ sexual and reproductive health rights through providing lifeskill education to adolescent boys and caregivers in partnership with UNFPA. Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- CoC Project Officer for “Improving Menstrual Health Management of Adolescent Girls and Women in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh” Project.
∎ Reporting
∎ CoC Project Officer will report to CoC Coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization’s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
∎ Location of Posting: Anywhere in Cox’s Bazar
∎ Contract Duration: Initially till 31st December 2022 with possibility of further extension depending on the performance and funding availability.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure successful implementation of Champion of Change (CoC) curriculum for the adolescent boys and male caregivers in accordance with anticipated workplan and timeframe.
∎ Guide the CoC Facilitators on quality implementation of the CoC curriculum through direct supervision and monitoring.
∎ Coordinate and communicate with school management committees for allowing and assisting in smoother implementation of the CoC curriculum in the school premise.
∎ Maintain communication with CiCs in getting approval and permission of the interventions and provide update to the CiC in monthly/occasional camp meetings.
∎ Organize monthly meeting at the camp and school level to analyze the progress made and the challenges faced during the month.
∎ Aware community people on sexual and reproductive health rights of the adolescent girls through organizing informal meetings, discussions, day observation etc.
∎ Arrange focus group discussions with the community people on the challenges faced by the adolescent boys and male caregivers in attending the CoC sessions and finding out opinions of the participants on the CoC curriculum.
∎ Maintain communication and coordination with male caregivers to ensure their participation in the lifeskill education sessions under CoC curriculum.
∎ Collect and Gather data and information on the progress of lifeskill CoC curriculum sessions being facilitated by the CoC facilitators all through the targeted camps and host community schools.
∎ Prepare periodic and occasional qualitative and quantitative reports and provide reporting and data management support to the project and organizational MEAL department.
∎ Maintain communication with relevant stakeholders at the camp and host community level through updating and strategy sharing.
∎ Sorting out challenges at the field level and resolve the challenges through analyzing the situation and taking necessary actions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in implementation of the similar projects.
∎ Must have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla, i.e., field visit report, event report, case study/story, content writing, etc.
∎ Proficient with MS office suite
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly
Salary:
∎ Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be 56,443 BDT with contributory provident fund, 2 festival bonus and regular traveling and communication bill.
