Experience:

• At least 15 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a reputed university.

• Candidates having Bar-at-Law, Master's in Law (LL.M), PhD or any other higher specialized degree in Law will be given preference.

• Enrollment as an Advocate with the Bangladesh Bar Council.

• Enrollment as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh will be given. preference.

• At least 15 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks

Minimum 15 years of experience in handling relevant litigation cases along with at least 05 years of working experience in the Legal Department/Legal Team of a bank/financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the bank's legal and compliance functions.

• Provide strategic legal counsel to the Senior Management and Board of Directors on legal risks and regulatory matters.

• Submit progress reports on pending litigation cases on a monthly basis to the Managing Director of the Bank, and on a quarterly basis in the meeting of the Board of Directors.

• Ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations.

• Manage litigation, contracts, and legal documentation.

• Liaise with Panel Lawyers of the Bank, regulatory authorities, external legal counsel and law firms.

• Develop internal policies and governance frameworks and provide legal input in strategic business initiatives to support the Bank's operational & ethical goals.
