∎ General description of the position:
∎ The Capacity Building Coordinator will be responsible for leading the capacity building component of the YESC program. He/she will be responsible for technical support and guidance on early marriage and youth engagement, protection and community-based interventions by delivering training, thematic workshops and ensuring continued coaching and mentoring support based on staff needs assessment. He/she proactively identifies external opportunities for increasing the technical capacities of staff on various cross cutting themes.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Staff Capacity Building and Development:
∎ Conduct regular staff training, need assessments including community volunteers, and other staff to be trained;
∎ Develop a staff capacity building plan responding to regular needs assessment under the supervision of the Program Director;
∎ Conduct regular staff trainings and on the job coaching on the themes of youth, gender, social cohesion. This includes capacity building on Tdh arts-based and sports-based methodologies for protection and social cohesion.
∎ Lead the development of training packages on the themes of youth empowerment, gender and diversity mainstreaming, social cohesion and community-based approaches
∎ Regularly review program staff's progress through field observation, meetings and other forms of evaluation to inform need for refresh training;
∎ Lead training for project teams in close collaboration with Program Director;
∎ Develop and update individual training file for each staff that tracks attended trainings either internal or external according to each individual need assessment and response plan;
∎ Contribute to the developing of ToR for the identification of external trainers and other resources;
∎ Project(s) Co-operation:
∎ Regularly communicate with the partner organisations and provide them technical and managerial assistance for dealing with implementation bottleneck;
∎ Monitor implementation and performance of the staff of the partner organizations, community volunteers, and other members of the community-based organizations and stakeholders;
∎ Ensure both internal and external coordination along with the donor compliance requirement;
∎ As a member of the steering committee provide specific advice and support on the ad-hoc issues;
∎ Assist Program Director in organizing steering committee meeting at the earliest to resolve any dispute;
∎ Work collaboratively with other team members of the Dhaka, Ukhiya and Cox's Bazar for organizing any program event;
∎ Assists Program Director in the preparation of the various documents of the program;
∎ Work collaboratively with the MEAL Manager to ensure the indicators of the program are being followed at all events of the program;
∎ Handle logistic preparation prior to organizing any activities as per the Tdh guideline;
∎ Collaborate with logistics in Ukhiya for identifying training venues, utilize budget, and report preparation
∎ Collect information regarding potential costs arising from internal and external training opportunities and promptly inform Program Director;
∎ Coordination and Representation:
∎ Coordinate with other Tdh sectors to ensure mainstreaming and implementation of standardized activities;
∎ Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the contract and participate in implementing it;
∎ Liaise with other humanitarian actors to seek opportunities for capacity development of child protection staff;
∎ Others:
∎ Agree to comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and ensures Child Safeguarding standards are upheld;
∎ Adhere and ensure Tdh administrative and logistical regulations and procedures;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge:
∎ At least 5 years' experience in the area of training and capacity building in the area of Child Protection and Youth Mobilization with and International Non-profit Organization, preferably in Cox's Bazar.
∎ Good IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, Internet, Excel).
∎ Very good knowledge of Youth Empowerment issues (programming) and best practices.
∎ Very good knowledge of the child protection system in Bangladesh, preferably in Cox's Bazar.
∎ Skills:
∎ Strong training, facilitation and coaching skills in multicultural settings.
∎ Experience in developing training packages on the themes of youth programming, gender mainstreaming, social cohesion.
∎ Excellent communication, networking, and inter-personal skills
∎ Conflict sensitivity and responsive programming.
∎ Flexibility and ability to cope with changes in priorities.
∎ Fluency in spoken and written English.
∎ Knowledge of Bangla/Rohingya language is an asset.
∎ Others:
