Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives for our legal service firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the legal service industry, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in developing and executing business development strategies. This role is responsible for identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and increasing the firm’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the firm’s long-term goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new practice areas, emerging trends, and client needs.
  • Collaborate with partners and practice group leaders to create client-targeting plans.

Client Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities across practice areas.
  • Manage client feedback processes and implement improvement strategies.

Marketing & Branding

  • Oversee the development of marketing materials, proposals, pitch decks, and RFP responses.
  • Coordinate firm-wide marketing campaigns, seminars, webinars, and client events.
  • Work with internal and external marketing teams to enhance brand visibility and online presence.

Performance Monitoring

  • Set measurable goals for business development initiatives and track performance metrics.
  • Analyze data to assess ROI on marketing and business development activities.
  • Report regularly to leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Team Collaboration

  • Support attorneys with client presentations, networking efforts, and promotional strategies.
  • Train and mentor junior staff involved in marketing and client development.
  • Coordinate efforts across different office locations and practice groups.
