Responsibilities & Context:

Department: Business Development

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion & Lead Generation
  • Identify and target potential clients in the Dhaka region involved in apparel, textile manufacturing, and export.
  • Generate qualified leads for Textile Exchange, GOTS, Higg FEM, BCI, and testing services.
  • Visit factories, buying houses, and stakeholders to promote IDFL services.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and client meetings to understand their certification/testing needs.
  • Provide consultation on certification scopes, audit readiness, and process timelines.

Service Promotion & Proposal Development

  • Present and explain IDFL's services, pricing, and benefits to potential clients.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and service agreements based on client requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to create customized service packages when necessary.

Coordination & Scheduling Support

  • Coordinate between the client and internal operations team for smooth audit/testing scheduling.
  • Ensure timely document submission and audit/testing readiness from client side.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the certification and testing process.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends in the Dhaka textile sector.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, client feedback, and market insights to the Department Head.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of leads, clients, and opportunities.

Target Achievement & Performance Tracking

  • Work under monthly and quarterly business development targets.
  • Track performance metrics and strive to exceed sales and conversion goals.
  • Contribute to strategic business planning for growth in the Dhaka zone.

Professional Representation & Compliance

  • Represent IDFL professionally at meetings, seminars, and client visits.
  • Ensure all communications, proposals, and activities align with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Keep updated with standards and compliance requirements of TE, GOTS, Higg, BCI, and testing protocols.
