Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collect and analyze data to understand business performance and trends.
∎ Prepare and present analytical reports to management to support decision-making.
∎ Design, develop, and implement new systems or updates to existing systems to improve efficiency.
∎ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
∎ Identify and recommend improvements to business processes based on data analysis.
∎ Work with different departments to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
∎ Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring they understand how to use the systems effectively.
∎ Conduct regular system tests to ensure functionality and efficiency.
∎ Manage projects related to system upgrades or new implementations.
∎ Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
∎ Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
∎ Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in information systems to maintain compliance.
∎ Microsoft Excel, Access / STATA / SPSS / Google Analytics / Visual Website Optimizer / Nvivo software application / graphical analyst / GIS mapping (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
∎ Data analysts need math skills to estimate numerical data
∎ Data analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
∎ Excellent command of English language (written and verbally).
∎ Understand humanitarian issues and contexts, data protection policy, the SPHERE Humanitarian Charter and minimum standards
∎ Global and national data science strategy in the field of humanitarian actions and disaster management
∎ Organizational data management system and software applications
∎ Data collection methodology and analytical framework
∎ Minimum 1 years of professional experience in MIS and GIS data analysis/ web application-based tools development or any other relevant field.
