Experience:

• Rebar detailing principles and structural drawing interpretation.

• Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) preparation and optimization.

• BBS/detailing software (CAD/rebar detailing tools) proficiency.

• Placement drawing and shop drawing preparation.

• Structural design codes and standards.

Execute and supervise rebar detailing in BBS software, BBS optimization in production software and supervision of rebar fabrication by plant machinery following drawings, standard codes and structural design procedure.

• Allocate work to team members and ensure resource availability, to enable each individual to accomplish assigned tasks for the Cut & Bend Plant.

• Review and monitor work on a daily basis and provide updates to the plant in-charge, to ensure visibility of progress and timely course correction.

• Implement plant activities assigned by the plant in-charge, to support smooth execution of plant operations.

• Highlight issues pertaining to resources (men, drawings, etc.) on a timely basis, to enable prompt resolution and avoid production delays.

• Supervise rebar detailing work from structural drawings to prepare placement drawings, shop drawings, and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in software, as per production and delivery schedule.

• Supervise BBS optimization in software based on raw material inventory and project-wise customer requirements, to minimize wastage and align output with need.

• Proactively highlight any modifications needed in structural drawings/BBS received from the customer to the plant in-charge, to prevent errors in production.

• Ensure completion of assigned detailing, optimization, and production scope within the targeted time, to meet project deadlines.

• Ensure work planning and control for detailing-related jobs assigned to designated projects, to maintain organized execution.

• Certify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) prepared by detailing engineers in correlation with the consultant/client/customer, to ensure accuracy and compliance before use.

• Ensure approved and optimized BBS are issued to relevant production personnel, to enable accurate execution on the shop floor.

• Coordinate with customers, consultants, and sales personnel on rebar detailing, drawings, and delivery resolving production hurdles in liaison with the plant in-charge to ensure smooth and timely project execution.

• Take regular updates on generated scrap and offcuts, to support material efficiency tracking.

• Identify potential safety issues through hazard identification, address improvement areas, and implement preventive measures, to reduce workplace safety risk.
