Education:
  • Minimum Master's Degree/MBA in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Management, Economics, or related disciplines from a recognized university.

  • Candidates having professional qualifications such as CA (CC), CA Course Completed, ACCA, CMA, CIA, CISA, or similar certifications shall be given preference.

  • Age 42 to 52 years
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in internal/external audit, risk management, or compliance within the financial sector, including at least 5 years in the Internal Control & Compliance Division of a reputed commercial bank.

  • Strong analytical, report writing, communication, and computer skills are required.

  • Relevant experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Inspection, or Banking Operations shall be preferred.

  • Candidates having experience in banking "Standard Operating Process" formulation and review is expected.



Responsibilities & Context:

The Premier Bank PLC., with the network of 136 branches and 67 sub-branches across the country, is on a growth trajectory to expand its network and services nationwide. As part of The Premier Bank PLC's commitment to strengthening its governance framework, internal control environment, operational resilience, and sustainable business growth, it is proposed to establish a dedicated Assurance Team under the Internal Control & Compliance Division (ICCD).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review the Bank's SOPs, policies, guidelines, and operational processes across all business and support functions and recommend improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency.

  • Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and operational vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective measures to support sustainable business growth.

  • Conduct periodic assurance reviews of key control functions, including ICCD, AMLD, FAD, GSD, HRD, ITD, and other relevant divisions.

  • Establish and maintain a continuous assurance framework to strengthen preventive controls and mitigate internal and external fraud risks.

  • Support Internal Audit activities by enhancing audit planning, fieldwork, documentation, reporting, and follow-up processes.

  • Assess the effectiveness of monitoring and compliance functions and recommend measures to improve regulatory compliance and control oversight.

  • Review the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions arising from audits, inspections, investigations, and regulatory observations.

  • Conduct thematic reviews, process assessments, root-cause analyses, and special assurance assignments as directed by Management or the Audit Committee.

  • Prepare assurance reports for Senior Management and the Audit Committee highlighting key risks, control deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
