Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize unplanned downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
∎ Regularly inspect equipment, including sewing machines, extrusion and weaving machinery, cutting and printing machines, and any automated systems used in FIBC production.
∎ Identify parts or systems that require regular servicing or replacement to maintain optimal performance
∎ Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues in equipment and machinery used for FIBC manufacturing Perform repairs promptly to minimize production delays, ensuring minimal disruption to the
∎ manufacturing process. Coordinate with production teams to prioritize repairs and manage downtime effectively.
∎ Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
∎ Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions for any identified hazards. Train production and maintenance staff on safe equipment operation and emergency procedures.
∎ Oversee the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing systems
∎ Evaluate and recommend machinery upgrades to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and
∎ safety Collaborate with vendors or contractors as needed to install or upgrade specialized machinery.
∎ Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to avoid unnecessary delays during repairs. Coordinate with procurement to source and reorder essential parts and materials as needed
∎ Monitor usage and stock levels, implementing cost-saving measures where possible
∎ Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements for cach machine
∎ Prepare regular maintenance reports, highlighting equipment performance, issues, and preventive measures taken.
∎ Use maintenance management software to track work orders, schedules, and inventory.
∎ Identify and implement process improvements to reduce breakdown frequency, improve machinery efficiency, and enhance product quality,
∎ Work with production and quality teams to optimize equipment settings for various FIBC products, including coated and uncoated bags, Q-bags, tunnel bags, and cross-comer bags
∎ Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring issues and develop solutions.
∎ Train maintenance staff or junior engineers on troubleshooting, repair techniques, and safety protocols.
∎ Provide technical support and guidance to production teams on machine operation and minor
∎ troubleshooting. Promote a proactive maintenance culture across the organization
∎ Context: Managing and directing production processes while ensuring optimum utilization of resources to increase cost savings, quality, output, and production efficiency.
