Educational Requirements:
∎ MSC. Ag (Hons) with MS in Agronomy, Crop Botany, Seed Technology, and Genetics and Plant Breeding. MS in GPB will be added an advantage.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Seed Production from a reputed Seed Production organization
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Hard working with strong sense of responsibility of quality hybrid rice seed production and maintaining the seed quality through company own management and Contract Grower (CG) system
∎ Plan and select location of Seed production and form Block by lease land
∎ Manage and liaison with Contract growers to ensure quality seed production
∎ Prepare Seed production budget and implementation plan
∎ Prepare hybrid rice seed production protocol
∎ Random and frequent monitoring and supervision of each production block to ensure quality seed production by rendering technical support as expert.
∎ Need to conduct synchronization trials of newly developed hybrid and adaptation trial for new variety (ies) from various origins like China, India and any other sources.
∎ Conduct GOT for produced hybrid rice seed
∎ Control and manage the financial activities of seed production scheme
∎ Render capacity building training to the newly appointed employee and CG (Contract Grower)
∎ Follow-up the progress of team activities and individual’s performance of his team member
∎ Arrange and coordinate field visit with local Seed Certification Agency (SCA) personnel
∎ Should have administrative capacity to manage the project and ensure timely reporting to the HO
∎ Entrusted with the responsibility of data record keeping.
∎ Close Collaboration with the field production, quality control, Seed processing & preservation team, Sales and Marketing team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Must be pro-active, self motivated.
∎ Very good leadership quality.
∎ Creative and excellent job knowledge.
∎ Sound knowledge on Computer literacy.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
Salary: Negotiable
