Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee the day-to-day work of the Core Network Operations (IP & Data) team members.
∎ Ensure and evolve the proper monitoring and alerting applications of Core Network entities, ensure team operates within a defined set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
∎ Ensure proper escalation / resolution and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) regarding all issues and ensure timely resolution of any problems.
∎ Work with internal departments and external vendors to ensure network entities are adequately maintained.
∎ Maintain and publish inventory list of Core Network and SLAs across all teams and services.
∎ Serve as a primary liaison among various business groups within the organization.
∎ Primarily responsible for 24/7 administration functions of core network operations team and provide coaching to the team members.
∎ Participate as a member of, or leader of, various committees and conduct team meetings as scheduled.
∎ Ensure effective communication between direct reports and other functional units, provide regular project/task status updates.
∎ Inspire team members to continuously drive process improvements and ensure technical coverage is provided over customer complaints and monitoring tools.
∎ Work on problems of diverse scope where data requires complex analysis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 34 years
∎ Installation, configuration and management of core network entities like Router, Switch and Firewall.
∎ Installation, configuration and management of DNS server and bird routing daemon.
∎ Having practical experience with IP/MPLS network design, Security solution design and implementation.
∎ Having previous experience with ISP/IIG/IX Core Network & System Operations, Maintenance & Up-gradation.
∎ Having sound knowledge in IP Routing (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS etc), Switching, and Security System.
∎ Having practical experience with installing & tuning of Observium, Cacti, Smokeping & Nagios monitoring systems including experience with RANCID, IPAM & NfSen.
∎ Hands on experience with different vendor platform i.e Cisco Router and Switch (IOS XE and IOS XR Platform), Cisco Firewall, FortiNet , MikroTik, Juniper.
∎ Having previous experience in deployment, integration & maintenance of the CDNs i.e. Google Cache Servers and Akamai Cache Servers and configuration of content delivery services for customers.
∎ Participate in conducting different R&Ds in order to integrate any upgrade, or implementation of new technology.
∎ Design, Planning and implementation of Upstream/Backbone/Client network.
