Additional Requirements: Responsibilities & Context: The Assistant Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations of Mazada Group’s various business units — including heavy equipment, spare parts, construction machinery, engineering projects, and related services.
This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in procurement planning, vendor management, contract negotiation, logistics coordination, and inventory control.
Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Conduct supplier market research, cost analysis, and risk assessments.
- Prepare annual procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
Vendor Selection & Evaluation
- Prepare and manage RFQ/RFP/tender processes.
- Evaluate supplier quotations and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, responsiveness).
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procurement transactions.
Inventory & Materials Management
- Oversee material planning, stock levels, reorder points, and usage monitoring.
- Ensure timely availability of parts, spares, and project materials.
- Identify obsolete, slow-moving, or excess inventory and take corrective action.
Logistics & Supply Coordination
- Plan and track local and international shipments.
- Coordinate customs clearance, import/export documentation, and freight forwarding.
- Optimize transportation cost and delivery schedules.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Project, and Finance teams.
- Align procurement activities with project schedules and operational needs.
- Support internal teams with timely material and service delivery.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare periodic procurement and supply chain reports.
- Analyze spend patterns and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Develop and track KPIs (lead time, cost savings, supplier performance).
Technology & Process Improvement
- Utilize software for workflow automation.
- Implement best practices in digital procurement and vendor management.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in supply chain operations.
