Ensure the Quality Control and Assurance for the Rice Fortification activities according to WFP guidelines and standard-50%

• Implement quality control protocols for rice fortification to ensure compliance with food safety and fortification standards.
• Conduct daily monitoring of milling, fortification, and packaging processes to maintain consistent product quality.
• Monitor the ongoing production process, ensuring correct blending of fortified kernels and uniformity in fortified rice.
• Perform regular sampling and testing to verify micronutrient levels.
• Address deviations from quality standards and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with national and international food safety regulations, including HACCP and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with plant operators to troubleshoot quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Sharing the QC report with WFP personnel before production.
• Review and approve quality documentation, such as inspection records and certificates of analysis.
• Lead investigations into quality-related complaints and oversee corrective actions.
• Establish and maintain quality benchmarks and KPIs for continuous monitoring and improvement.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with food safety inspections and certifications.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential quality threats and proactively mitigate them.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control, ensuring they reflect the latest industry practices and regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to verify raw materials meet quality specifications.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on food safety and quality control procedures

• Prepare regular quality control performance reports for submission to management and WFP.
• To ensure a two-time quality check during received rice from supplier and after fortification with the maintain of WFP guidelines.
• Maintain hourly basis quality check and necessary correction measure during production.
• Maintain detailed logs of quality control checks, test results, and corrective actions.
• Assist machine operator to ensure quality control for the blending ratio of fortified rice.
• Assist in developing a digital database for tracking quality metrics and fortification consistency.
• Support the creation of dashboards and data visualization tools to monitor trends.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of quality data following WFP and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and final project reports, focusing on quality assurance outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards when handling project data.
• Assist in preparing information for donor reports, audits, and external evaluations.
• Develop tools to validate the accuracy of quality data during the production process.

Capacity building initiative on Food Safety and quality-10%

Do effective and appropriate networking and coordination with different stakeholders to ensure quality-5%

• Effective communication with WFP retail unit, FSQ unit to ensure the quality issue for Rice Fortification according to WFP guideline.
• Involve with the suppliers’ representatives for ensuring the Rice quality and necessary feedback with the collaboration of WFP retail unit.
• Liaison & Networking with different stakeholders (WFP quality control team, Local vendor) for smooth operation.

Others-5%

• Participate and be involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
• Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that visitor recommendations are addressed.
