Job Context:
∎ Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED) a National NGO working in Cox`s Bazar district is inviting applications from suitable candidates for its Programme title `Integrated Nutrition Interventions for Malnutrition Treatment and Prevention in FDMN`S Camps & Host communities in Cox`s Bazar`. The Programme is jointly funded by UNICEF & WFP. SHED is looking for qualified candidates for the post of:
∎ Assistant MEAL Officer

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position will be responsible to lead Integrated Nutrition Facility in Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar that includes Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP), Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) Blanket Supplementary Feeding Programme (BSFP), IYCF, ECCD and CMAMI and other nutrition-sensitive activities as and when needed and deputize Nutrition Supervisor. Besides s/he will lead community-based nutrition activities including screening and referral of wasting cases, follow-up home visits, community-based awareness raising sessions, coordination and liaison at camp level, supportive supervision and reporting and conflict management at camp level.

∎ Functional Supervision: Program Manager (Nutritionist)
∎ Job purpose: The Assistant MEAL Officer will be responsible to ensure the smooth and proper running of the program through providing systematic and regular MEAL related activities, monitoring and follow up of all activities at the field level through center beneficiary and field staff. The Assistant MEAL Officer will work closely with the MEAL Officer & other staff at camp levels.
∎ 1. Role Profile:
∎ Reporting to the MEAL Officer - Nutrition, the overall purpose of the position is to coordinate the collection, compilation, consolidation, and analysis of data to track programs/ projects activities, monitor progress and support impact measurement. S/he will also assist to serve to the MEAL Officer for all assessments, engage in reflective practice, and generate lessons from projects/program and prepare MEAL plans for nutrition program. S/he is responsible for establishing and ensuring better field level data management systems for the program s/he assigned to and coordinates the proper and timely evaluation of project objectives/impact. S/he will also assist to serve CFM focal for the existing Client Feedback Response Mechanisms. S/he will lead a team of CFRM in case absent of CFRM focal and ensure program staff participation in MEAL activities. The position holder will closely work with MEAL Officer, Nutrition Supervisors, Community nutrition supervisors, CFM Assistant and front-line staff, and community/facility volunteers. Overall, an Assistant MEAL Officer plays a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and management of M&E activities, with the ultimate goal of improving program quality and impact.
∎ Job Location:At anywhere in Ukhiya Upazila.
∎ Under the direct supervision of MEAL Officer - Nutrition, this position will undertake the following tasks.
∎ Support MEAL Officer in Program / Project Design and Learning:
∎ Assist MEAL Officer in context analysis, need analysis and situation analysis and keep updated regularly to meet the program requirement at any period of time.
∎ Assist MEAL Officer in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans, data collection tools, and reporting templates.
∎ Support development and make sure all the nutrition projects have tested monitoring tools that capture both program activity and indicators progress.
∎ Take part in assessments, evaluations, and surveys as assigned.
∎ Work with the program team to generate evidences regularly and share with program team.
∎ Coordinate synergy and cross-learning among different projects.
∎ Produce and compile summary monitoring reports regularly and share with MEAL Officer as required.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ Assist in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans for projects and programs.
∎ Conduct regular field visits to collect data and provide technical support to project staff in the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
∎ Responsible for tracking nutrition progress against monitoring work plans.
∎ Develop monitoring tools, checklist, and questionnaire in collaboration with MEAL Officer.
∎ Support MEAL Officer to ensure the on-time execution of nutrition projects major monitoring and data quality audit and field supervision, document findings and store in project file.
∎ Provide technical support to nutrition staff on information management system, proper data collection and record keeping.
∎ Support MEAL Officer in updating nutrition MEAL plan timely.
∎ Conduct regular data verification exercises to ensure reporting and collection of quality data.
∎ Maintain high-quality database for the projects in line with existing standards and protocols.
∎ Information Management and Reporting:
∎ Data compiling, cleaning & cross checking of raw data and maintain centralized Nutrition Information Management System of nutrition projects with different applications/digital tools i.e. Tableau, Power Bi.
∎ Actively work in the area of monthly reports generation i.e., WFP statistics, Food distribution, UNICEF-ONA, OTP, IYCF, CMAMI, GMP, Mobilization Report, School Health and Nutrition report, lead Mother Report and submit to MEAL officer.
∎ Assist to prepare for data collection & as well as Food requisition plan for the INF, compile and report monthly nutrition sector report such as 4W and submit to MEAL Officer.
∎ Assist in preparing different type of internal external project report and narrative report (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually) and submit to MEAL Officer.
∎ Conduct regular field visits to collect data and provide technical support to project staff in the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
∎ Assist in the design and implementation of baseline studies and end-line evaluations.
∎ Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested and timely submit to MEAL Officer.
∎ Assist MEAL Officer in analyzing data regularly to be shared with the internal or external stakeholder.
∎ Assist CFRM focal to ensure the projects have downward/ forward client feedback response mechanism and works with nutrition staff to make sure its implementation.
∎ Ensure high quality data are available on a regular and timely basis for reporting and programmatic decision making.
∎ Strengthen capacity and cross cutting.
∎ Responsible for the orientation of nutrition front line staff, and volunteers on the monitoring tools, Exit interview tools and train them how to use data for decision making.
∎ Assist MEAL Officer to orient program staff on the basic principles, practices and tools of client feedback responsiveness in accordance with standard SoP.
∎ Ensure CNWs data recording is correctly done at the facility level.
∎ Provide effective coaching and supportive guidance to the community workers and volunteers so that they can run and ensure data quality.
∎ Ensure organizational policies and donor compliances are in place.
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of SHED's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management, PSEA etc.)
∎ Ensure that assigned volunteers understand and comply with all of SHED's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management, PSEA etc.)
∎ Work in a manner that always protects confidentiality.
∎ Besides the above-mentioned job activities, you have to do any other job assign by your supervisor & the organization as and when required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Minimum 2 to 3 Years working Experience in Similar Position in NGOs/INGOs.
∎ Technical knowledge on Community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) programming
∎ Have good knowledge on Rohingya refugee programs.
∎ Demonstrated ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines.
∎ Demonstrated leadership and supervisory role to lead a large field team.
∎ Fluency in English, both written and verbal as well as Bangla.
∎ Proficient knowledge of standard computer software is desirable.
∎ Pro- active with an ability to think analytically & results oriented.
∎ Excellent planning and organizational skills
∎ Ability to problem solving and good decision-making skills.
∎ Strong team player & ability to work in challenging environments.
∎ Experience in closely working with camp level is advantageous.
∎ Previous experience working in CMAM is an asset.
∎ Knowledge of local dialects (Cox's Bazar region/ Rohingya dialect is an asset.
∎ For extra ordinary/promising candidates, experience can be flexible.

Salary:
∎ Tk.40,000 (Forty Thousand Taka only)
