• Strong knowledge in purchasing Feed Ingredients/ Raw Materials.

Procurement & Sourcing

• Source key raw materials (e.g., corn, soybean meal, additives, vitamins).

• Develop and manage supplier relationships (local & international).

• Monitor commodity markets and hedge against price volatility.

• Ensure supplier compliance with quality and safety standards.

Demand & Supply Planning

• Forecast demand based on sales trends, seasonality, and livestock cycles.

• Align production plans with raw material availability.

• Maintain optimal inventory levels (avoid shortages or overstock).

Inventory Management

• Manage silos, warehouses, and storage conditions (critical for feed quality).

• Implement FIFO/FEFO practices to prevent spoilage.

• Monitor stock accuracy and minimize wastage.

Production Coordination

• Work closely with production teams to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.

• Ensure availability of formulations and materials for different feed types.

• Support efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Logistics & Distribution

• Manage inbound logistics (ports, transport, customs if imported).

• Oversee outbound distribution to dealers, farms, and retailers.

• Optimize transport routes and reduce delivery lead times.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with feed safety regulations and standards.

• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for raw material and finished feed testing.

• Manage traceability systems for ingredients and batches.

Cost Management

• Control procurement, warehousing, and logistics costs.

• Analyze cost drivers and implement savings initiatives.

• Prepare budgets and monitor supply chain KPIs.
