Experience:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day shipment operations of Ocean Freight, ensuring timely communication and exceptional service to customers.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with overseas agents, shippers, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
Monitor and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all customers, ensuring alignment with company policies.
Manage booking processes, including coordination with shippers and buying houses, providing accurate information for shipment planning.
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
Monitor EDI/DSR reports, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
Supervise and ensure smooth coordination between customers and the Ocean customer service/CGP Operations team for planning and execution, including providing shipment details such as booking numbers, agent details, carrier preferences, and estimated arrival times.
Drive continuous improvement efforts within the customer service function by identifying areas of improvement and implementing effective strategies.
Train and mentor team members, providing guidance on best practices, problem-solving, and customer-handling techniques.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by managing escalations, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring service excellence.
Collaborate with vendors for customs status and timely provision of shipping documents.
Work closely with internal departments to resolve operational issues and streamline communication between various stakeholders.
Working with multiple customers at the same time.
Keep close follow-up with all major shipping lines like OOCL/Hapag-Lloyd/ONE/MSC Line for bookings as well as space.
Need to accept any other assigned work as and when required by the management.
