Responsibilities & Context:
Designing and implementing the most cost-effective and time-efficient routing for various products across different international lanes (Air, Sea, and Land).
Managing relationships and negotiating competitive freight rates and service level agreements (SLAs) with global and local freight forwarders.
Evaluating the performance of clearing and forwarding (C&F) agents, shipping lines, and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery.
Ensuring all shipments comply with international trade laws, local customs regulations, and internal company policies.
Identifying potential delays or disruptions in the supply chain and developing contingency plans (e.g., alternative ports or modes of transport).
Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly and ad-hoc basis reports regarding freight forwarding and as per requirement of management.
In-depth understanding of Incoterms 2020, shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill), and Letter of Credit (LC) processes and perform end to end.
Deep knowledge of HS Code classification and shipping requirements respective to the goods.
Proficiency in Logistics Management Systems, ERP software (like SAP or Oracle), and advanced MS Excel for data-driven routing decisions.
